“Understatement is a powerful device, in life, and in poetry. ‘A Few Love Poems’ actually offers us a hundred! Some are simple thoughts, succinctly and accurately stated, which leave the reader thinking ‘Yes, life is like that.’ Many are detailed observations, capturing a person, a journey, an event, or a breath of nostalgia. Others are perfectly whimsical, but no less entertaining. Several made me laugh aloud, enjoying their simplicity. This is a good collection on a range of themes.
