Description

The U.S. Coast Guard uses a variety of platforms to conduct its daily business. Cutters and small boats are used on the water; fixed and rotary wing (helicopters) aircraft are used in the air.

U.S. Coast Guard Assets: Volume One: Cutters is an Interactive Reference Book containing 320 pages of information including physical characteristics, commissioning data, homeports, and descriptions of duties, as well as over 700 photos (including selected videos) of all the individual cutters in service at the date of publication. From WLIC-315: USCGC Smilax (the Queen of the Fleet) to WPC-1102: USCGC Richard Etheridge… they are all included.

For those of us who spend time on or around the water, we will come into contact with the Coast Guard. This Reference Book will help to identify the Cutters and inform us about the duties and services they perform.
