Description

In an attempt to make sense of his own mysterious and unsettling childhood memories, a man begins to reconstruct his past. As the games and adventures of his youth become engulfed by a larger story, he finds that it forms a tapestry of unbelievable horror that he never could have expected.

Each chapter completes a different piece of the puzzle for both you and the narrator, and by the end of it all, you will wish that you could forget what he never knew.

Reviews

  • Horror turned tragedy

It was definitely spooky, but the ending completely erased any horror aspect originally felt from the book, not to say it wasn’t a fantastic twist.
  • Waste of time and very disappointing

This book has exciting moments but 90% of it is very bland and the pay off at the end isn’t worth it. The story is also told in a very stupid way with it being all out of order. Overhyped garbage and I wouldn’t be surprised if the positive reviews for this book are all just paid bots.

This book had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put it down, yet I wish it was longer somehow.

This wasn’t what I expected. I have seen many reviews saying how good this book was. It had interesting parts and thought it would pick up at the next chapter…it did not. You can give it a shot but there are others books that will be more of interest…in my opinion

my ex bf had gifted me this for our anniversary, but after the breakup i just didn’t pay any mind to it. i decided to read it about three days ago, and i’m already finished! i’d give it a 9.5/10. i really liked how the storyline developed.

Recommended to me, and I could not put my physical copy down! When i didn’t have my physical copy I’d read digitally. This book brought out fear in me that I’ve not experienced since childhood. True fear, anxiety, terror. I will forever recommend this book to everyone and it will be in my top reads!!!

This book bounces around ages and timelines so much, and the end result comes to no conclusion. Why did the person do what he did? Motive? It just seems to end abruptly. So many unanswered questions

This is the first book I have read that has ever scared me.

This is the first disturbing book I read, which is crazy because I have a very strong sense of morbid curiosity - but reading was never my thing. I think what makes this book so disturbing and saddening is that these things do happen. 5/5 for sure

A bit of a slow start but then blasts you into wanting to see where each part of the puzzle fits. Great read!
