#1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us and It Ends with Us held readers spellbound with her novel Hopeless, the story of what happened when a troubled girl named Sky encountered a long-lost childhood friend, Dean. Now, in Losing Hope, we finally learn the truth about Dean Holder.

Haunted by the little girl he couldn’t save from imminent danger, Holder’s life has been overshadowed by feelings of guilt and remorse. He has never stopped searching for her, believing that finding her would bring him the peace he needs to move on. However, Holder could not have anticipated that he would be faced with even greater pain the moment they reconnected.

In Losing Hope, Holder reveals the way in which the events of Sky’s youth affected him and his family, leading him to seek his own redemption in the act of saving her. But it is only in loving Sky that he can finally begin to heal himself.

Really should have read the reviews before purchasing this book. I feel like I skimmed through 90% of this book because if you’ve read “Hopeless” you read this book… minus a few inner thoughts from Holder and the very LAST two chapters the books are the SAME! This whole book could’ve been made into a bonus chapter at the end “Hopeless”

I fell in love with Sky (Hope) and Holder’s relationship. Holder aka Dean is truly a man at such a young age. Gives me hope (literally and figuratively) that there is a “Dean Holder” out there. Hopeless romantic and lover of PDA!

I was somewhat disappointed in this book after loving the others that I’ve read. Many parts of Losing Hope were a repeat of Hopeless. I feel that Hopeless could’ve just been continued to include the final two chapters of Losing Hope. I’m not sure if I’ll read the next two in this series.

Didn’t find this sequel very necessarily. It’s basically the story of Hopeless but from a different person point of view. Hopeless was way better!
  • Amazing

I have never been thrown for such a loop…always was able to see “next” or the ending, but not this one. It was great and so well- thought out, this web of details and poignant moments and then the twists! Blew my mind. Well done, Colleen.

This book is amazing. The story of sky and holder is a masterpiece. The amount of love and sadness in this one book give me chills. I have never had a book make me cry like this book did. Even reading hopeless first didn’t make me feel like I did with this book. Holders side of the story is very powerful and it really shows you who he is. 10/10 I wish I could experience this book again for the first time.

I did not want the first book to be over so when I discovered that this was from Holder’s perspective I was so excited. Fell more in love with him and this beautiful story. Such a great read.
