I loved Gift Wrapped Protector Book 1 of Wyvern Protection Unit. Carolina came home from her archeological dog with a Demon. Her friend sends her protection in the firm of Jasper, a Wyvern. Jasper knew from just one look that Caro was his mate but her selfie esteem has taken a hit after a divorce and he doesn’t want to rush into telling her about mates. Her Demon keeps trying to get her attention but Jasper is determined to keep her safe. Caro doesn’t understand her pull to Jasper but she knows she will be heartbroken when he is gone. Is it worth the heartache? This book was actually quite funny in parts and I loved the characters. This is going to be a great series. I would definitely recommend this book. What a great first book in this new series! The basis of the series is there were four eggs found and passed down for several hundred years until a certain General Arthur Wessex finally figured out how to get them to hatch. What a surprise when four little boys were hatched from the eggs. The General refused to let them be raised in a laboratory and took them home and raised them with his wife. Now they are grown and have formed the WPU, Wyvern Protection Unit. They offer customizable protection based on their clients needs, normal and supernatural! Jasper is the oldest and strongest of the boys and is their unofficial Alpha. He is thinking he needs a vacation on the beach in the sun, so he is somewhat put out that he gets sent on assignment into the cold, snowy mountains! Carolina Moore is an artist, newly divorced, and on a “sabbatical” with her archeologist friend in Egypt. It was just what she needed to recover some of her lost self-esteem and find a new lease on life. She is looking forward to getting back into her sculpting again and has found a lot of inspiration during her time away. Unfortunately, she accidentally releases an ancient demon, Medjed, from a tablet just as she is leaving to return home. He claims her as his bride, but when she rejects him and offends him, he is on the warpath! Fortunately, she has a shifter friend that knows just who to call! As soon as Jasper sees Carolina’s picture he knows she is his mate. Unfortunately, he turns into somewhat of a bumbling idiot whenever he is around her. The two of them together are so hilarious! This is Book 1 of Wyvern Protection Unit starring bartender Carolina Moore and grumpy Wyvern Jasper Wessex. Well that is one funny way to go about finding a demon god. You will laugh with this one, be all kinds hot hot and bothered, find a love worth standing up for and an adventure of a life time.
