This is a memoir of a Taiwanese American family written in the form of a cookbook with fusion style Taiwanese and Chinese food. It was written for the author's two daughters who were born and raised in California. It tells the story of generations of love and care for the family through the enjoyment of the home made food. The author shares her memory with her family as she prepares each dish in her kitchen for this cookbook. Presentation of each dish is warm, and the author is very conscious with the ingredient selections to make sure the dishes are both tasty and healthy.
