Description

From New York Times bestselling author, J. Daniels, comes a new friends to lovers, forced proximity standalone romance.
Riley Tennyson has made a huge mistake.

At least, that’s what she keeps telling herself.

Showing up to her brother’s wedding pissed off and newly single, Riley seeks comfort in solitude and an open bar, until the gorgeous and irresistibly charming CJ Tully makes her a better offer—a wild night with the master of smooth-talking where nothing is off limits.

Riley does what any single woman would do, and a connection is made. One neither one of them can ignore. But when she comes home to the boyfriend she no longer thought she had, Riley buries her secret and begs CJ to do the same.

Forget about each other. It was a mistake. That’s all it was… right?

Desires are hidden. Distance is kept. Until one night CJ makes the ultimate sacrifice, and Riley can no longer avoid the man she can’t stop thinking about.

Not with him sleeping down the hall…

Sweet baby Jesus, it's true! Once you're under the Tully charm, there's just absolutely no going back. It stays with you for-freaking-ever! And I can't even begin to describe how much I MISSED these Bama boys! This is ultimately one of my most favorite series, characters, books ever and I'm so incredibly happy CJ's tale is finally here! All that stewing? Every single day, hour or second of torturously waiting for this bad boy to be released to the world was absolutely WORTH IT. J. Daniels continues to outdo herself with every book she releases and I couldn't be more grateful. These boys are LIFE. This is just one of those series you'd wish to never end. You'd want to be with them, be surrounded by them and their silly stories for always.

I loved it! CJ has got to be my favorite hero from the series. I didn't think anyone would beat Ben, but he did! Such a southern gentlemen, and I liked Riley! Such a great story they have. This book gets a 4.5 from me

Bama boys for the win!!! J. Daniels has become one of my fav authors. Can't get enough. Her books keep me glued to the pages from start to finish. Its a struggle between can't wait to know what happens next and not wanting it to end...that's a GREAT book in my opinion. I started backwards with the Dirty Deeds series and got hooked. Now I can't get enough. Now on to the Sweet Addiction series.

Where to even begin with this book.. oh CJ and sweet Riley girl ❤ All the feels with this one, could not put down until I was finished and even when I was finished I just wanted their story to go on forever. From "do all palm trees have coconuts?" To “Lovers who fell in love being friends. Friends who always wanted more.”.. I definitely hopped on the Tully train and got "Darlin'd" You NEVER disappoint in your books and I'm so honored you share these amazing characters with us! You da best J 😘

J Daniel is a master of the cat/mouse chase of a couple trying to find their place, which is ultimately each other's heart. I usually enjoy the chase, and this story had some wonderful moments, but I must say that Riley's behavior was so frustrating to me, that I just couldn't connect to her. She was so worried about what her brother would think, yet she stayed with a knucklehead for a year and a half knowing how her brother felt about him; go figure. Glad to know that this isn't the end of this series, as I'm not ready to see it end.

When I began this book series, I never thought any character could top Ben for me. But, then there was Luke. Never thought Luke's Bonus Scene in Where We Belong could EVER be topped...but then...oh yes then, there was CJ Tully. Mrs. Daniels, I was so bummed last October when you broke the news to us that the release of What I Need would be delayed. I read and loved your other new releases, waiting patiently for what I knew would be an awesome addition to this series. But I never could have imagined what you had in store for us. “I never waited for anything like I waited for you." So true, CJ. So true!!! You did not disappoint! I can't put into words how much I truly enjoyed this book. While all the characters from the series were back and true to form, the tale focuses primarily on CJ and Riley. I loved Riley's character - her confidence, and yet her vulnerability in asking for the verbal reassurance she craved. And CJ...the way he treated Riley throughout the story, when they were just friends and when they were more. Showing her how a "real man" treats his lady MELTED.MY.HEART❤️ I would buy this book TWICE! #perfection
