Smart leaders who want to influence kids figure out how to influence those who have the most influence with kids. And no one has more potential to influence a child than a parent. That’s why we as leaders need every tool at our disposal to locate and communicate with every parent. But parents are not the only influence a kid needs.
Kids need other significant adults in their lives who not only know God, but know them, invest in them, and encourage in them an authentic faith. In the church setting, no one is better positioned to do this than a small group leader.
