Ruggieri, MD, is a practicing general surgeon with thirty years’ experience. A graduate of Syracuse University, he subsequently worked as an iron worker prior to attending Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Ruggieri received surgical training at the world-renowned Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He then served three years as an active-duty general surgeon in the U.S. Army. Dr. Ruggieri has also held various leadership positions at community hospitals including faculty membership at Harvard University School of Medicine.
