Augustine of Hippo was a Christian theologian and philosopher whose writings influenced the development of Western Christianity and Western philosophy. 

"Confessions" is the autobiographical work, consisting of 13 books, that was written in Latin between 397 and 400 AD and covers the 35 years of Augustine’s life. The main theme has dedicated to depiction of Augustine's spiritual development and how he accepted Christianity. It is the first Western autobiography ever written, that became an influential model for Christian writers throughout the following 1,000 years.
